One thing that urkes me is how everyone rants and raves about how good hyperdetailed art is. You know when someone draws or paints something that's so realistic everyone goes "wow" and makes me, a more cartoony artist, feel inferior. If you want an example check out Marc Brunet's stuff, I like that guy and his channel but his art is too detailed for my liking. Everyone gushes about how realistically they paint the skin or how well they painted every strand of hair or the lighting when I personally find that shit unappealing.

I know it's a matter of taste but I prefer more cartoony, expressive stuff and looking at hyperdetailed art sometimes makes me want to puke.
